Chris Malloy Film Night at Local High School

Chris Malloy was in Sydney, Australia over the weekend; chilling out on a bit of a personal jaunt with his family, doing weddings, swimming, surfing and basically lapping up the last of the beautiful, summer weather.
Chris made an unexpected visit to local high school; Barrenjoey High in Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches - to talk to the groms and psyched lil' surf rats about the wonders of surfing, film-making and respecting the ocean and the environment. Needless to say, the small crew of kids and their surf amp'd parents who attended Chris’ surprise last minute visit, were not disappointed - a pure stoke filled the auditorium, the lucky few were in awe of Chris and his stories.

The night was capped off with a screening of Chris’s current film ‘A Brokedown Melody’, in the schools hall – situated of all places, on the headland next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia.
The night was brought together by Chris Malloy’s good will, the good folk at etnies, Beach Without Sand Surf shop and Barrenjoey High School. Donations were made to Surf Aid International to benefit the children and people of the Mentawai Islands. All in all a great night!
