- Eric Geiselman had people talking with his crazy surfing, but failed to make the finals. Still ripping, regardless.
- San Clemente’s Brandon Ragenovich.
- Lost Pro Jr. finalist, Mason Ho was ripping all week long. Mason finished 4th in the Pro Jr and had a good run in the Men's as well.
- HB’s Brett Simpson had the support from the entire beach and the HB highschool cheerleaders!

- 16-year-old Sally Fitzgibbons from Australia was the surfer to beat in the Women's division. Her progressive surfing earned her 3rd place in this year's US Open!
